RESqLUTION
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETARY CONTRIBUTION
OF ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS AND NO CENTS ($1,000.00) FROM THE HAWAII
POLICE ATHLETIC FEDERATION.
WHEREAS, the Hawaii Police Athletic Federation, whose President is Mr. Gregory
Hunt, has donated one thousand dollars and no cents ($1,000.00) to the Hawaii Police
Department's Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program; and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the
Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the
Hawaii Police Department is authorized to accept the monetary contribution of one thousand
dollars and no cents ($1,000.00) from the Hawaii Police Athletic Federation.
