RESOLUTION NO.~
A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE SALARY ORDINANCE NO. 97-80, BY ADJUSTING
THE NUMBER OF STEPS IN THE PAY GRADE OF LA-III.
WHEREAS, Section 46-32, Hawaii Revised Statutes, relating to Employees of the
Council, authorizes the Council of any county to appoint and employ personnel as it deems
necessary and to prescribe their powers, duties and compensation; and
. ',.
WHEREAS, Section 3-13, Hawaii County Charter, provides for interim amendments to
the Salary Ordinance to be made by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the existing pay grade for LA-III is as follows:

WHEREAS, the Fiscal/Program Review Auditor is compensated at the LA-III rate; and
WHEREAS, the position of Fiscal/Program Review Auditor carries duties,
responsibilities and a level of expertise that should be justly compensated beginning at a higher
tate of pay.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAW Ail that Section 3 of Ordinance No. [96-64] 21:.8Q relating to positions of
the Office of the County Council is amended as follows:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be transmitted to the
Office of the County Council, the Director of Finance and the Personnel Director.
