RESOLUTION NO. 1 G 5 97
RESOLUTION INCREASING TIME ELEMENT FOR BUILDING &
GROUNDS HELPER
WHEREAS, Position No. 2066, Building & Grounds Helper 21ST
Temporary, is utilized on a temporary basis whenever an employee
needs to be assigned to perform higher-level duties; and
WHEREAS, this position performs semi-skilled and manual tasks
in repairing and upkeeping buildings, structures, and equipment as
well as of the surrounding grounds; and
WHEREAS, there are times when building and ground repairs
must be performed in various districts that require additional
manpower assistance; and'
WHEREAS, by increasing the time element from 2/5 T Temporary
to Full-time Temporary, this position can be used to assist a Building
Maintenance Repairer, whenever the need arises, anywhere on the
Island; and
WHEREAS, increasing the time element would also enable
uninterrupted work day or work week; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in the Miscellaneous Salaries and
Wages Account of the Parks Maintenance Division.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII that the time element of Position No. 2066,
Building & Grounds Helper 21ST Temporary, be increased to Full-time
Temporary.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that funds are available in the
Miscellaneous Salaries & Wages Account of the Parks Maintenance
Division, Department of Parks & Recreation.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be
transmitted to the Departments of Parks & Recreation, Finance and
Civil Service.
