<br /> <br />COUNTY ~HAWA <br /> <br />TA.f OF HAWAII <br /> <br />,-'0' <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY OF HAWAII TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7, PUBLIC HOUSING DRUG ELIMINATION <br />PROGRAM. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the united States of America through the State Department of Human <br />Services Hawaii Housing Authority, is desirous of providing funding to establish a <br />police-community partnership with the residents of the Lanakila Housing and adopt a <br />proactive approach to problem sOlving. To assist in the development, implementation <br />education and maintenance of crime prevention programs/strategies and work with youth <br />to develop youth-oriented programs; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Police Department. is ready and willing to proceed <br />with its obligations under the Public Housing Drug Elimination Program; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Sections 46-7 of the Hawaii Revised statutes, the <br />Federal government may enter into agreements with the Council of the County of Hawaii <br />providing the expenditures or receipt of funds or for other assistance; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br />the Honorable Stephen K.
