DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S).
WIiEREAS, AdvoCA"f S, Inc. isa non-profit 501(c) 3 organization dedicated to the
well-being ofthe'Ilawai`i Island's feral cat population, and has proven on Oahu and Kauai that
"'I'rap,.Ncufer, Release" (T-N-R) is the best way to ceducc the population oCferal cats by
stopping their:reproduction,~maintainingeolonics oPhcalth feral cats, and natural attrition; and
WHEREAS, AdvoCA'I~S, [nc. supplies the spay-neuter packs and drugs to reduce the
population of:-fcrai cats, arranges for local veterinarians to neuter cats, and provides the
volunteersfo assist in caring for feral colonies and assist in surgery preparation and post-
opcrative cafe; and ""
WHEREAS, AdvoCA7"S, Lac. require anesthesia, antibiotics, and surgery supplies to
spay and neuter feral cats; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief hinds from Council District 7 will be appropriated to
the Flawai`~i Police-Department/Animal Control to be funded towards AdvoCATS, Inc. to defray
costs to trap; neuter,-and release feral cats; now, therefore,
lIE 1T RESOLVED BY THE COUNC[L OF THE COUNTY OE HAWAII that the
following amount.is hereby transferred/appropriated as set Porlh below:

resolirtion,to the ChicP bf Police and the Director of l'inancc and that the Director of Finance is
hereby authorized to make the necessary u•ansfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
