Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 157, reports as follows:
Bill No. 157, transmitted by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, via Communication No. 542,
dated September 30, ] 997, amends Ordinance 97-83, as amended, the Operating Budget ending
June 30, 1998.
The amendment is as follows:

010-3609.10 Fund Balance from Previous Year General Fund $92,503
To:
010-311-5311.45-115 Mass Transit-Taxicab Investigations General Fund
Misc. Contractual Svcs $92,503
Bill No. 157 authorizes the transfer of taxi license fees from the previous year's fund balance
account, less the expenses incurred by the Mass Transit Agency.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 157 and
recommends it pass first reading.
