Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 156, reports as follows:
Bill No. 156, transmitted by Finance Director Hazry Takahashi, via Communication No. 172.08,
dated October 16, 1997, amends Chapter 19 of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (]995 Edition)
relating to real property taxation.
Upon review of Ordinance 97-84, two sections were found to be numbered 19-53(e). This
measure proposes to correct these errors and related references within the chapter.
A second draft of Bill No. 156 was submitted to Your Committee due to a bracketing error in the
first section.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 156, Draft 2,
and recommends it pass first reading.
