Re: Late Nonprofit Grant Application
On the morning of February 4, 2009, the grant applications received from eligible
nonprofit organizations was transmitted to the County Council for their review and
appropriation of funds for the FY2009-10 nonprofit grant program. Thereafter, a grant
application was received from the Habitat for Humanity West Hawai'i for its General
Operating Support/Staffing program, requesting $50,000. Since this was received after
the January 30`h deadline as set forth in the application packet, it was ruled ineligible for
consideration for a grant. We will be contacting this organization and informing them of
their ineligibility.
