Comm. 1003: ORDINANCE BILL AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 98-50,
(Bi11305) AS AMENDED, APPROPRIATING $2,050,000 FOR VARIOUS
PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS

1998, transmitting the above bill for the following projects:

Comm. 1004: ORDINANCE BILL AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 98-49
(Bill 306) APPROPRIATING $8,000 FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF THE
KING KALAKAUA STATUE
From Finance Director Harry A. Takahashi, dated September 18,
1998, transmitting the above bill. The donation ,which will be
presented to the Culture and Arts Section of the Department of
Parks and Recreation from the King Kalakaua Statue Committee,
an ad hoc citizen's group, will be used for the upkeep and
maintenance of the statue at the Kalakaua Park in downtown Hilo.
Comm. 1006: COUNCIL'S 1999 STATE LEGISLATIVE PROGRAM
From Council Chair James Y. Arakaki, dated October 9, 1998,
stating that the Council needs to begin formulating its 1999 State
Legislative Program. Suggests that efforts be cooperatively
coordinated in proposing position statements to key policies that
may be important to the Council. Attaches the 1998 State
Legislative Program's Target Priorities and Capital Improvement
Project Priorities for information and review.
Comm. 1008: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
(Res. 334-98) TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENTS HA-99-1-N AND HA-3A-N,
WITH THE EXECUTIVE OFFICE ON AGING, OFFICE OF
"fHE GOVERNOR, STATE OF HAWAII, PURSUANT TO HRS
SECTION 46-7, WHEREBY THE STATE OF HAWAII
PROVIDES FUNDS TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAII OFFICE
OF AGING TO MAINTAIN PROGRAMS RELEVANT TO THE
NEEDS OF THE ELDERLY

The Public Works & Parks Committee and Finance Committee meetings can be seen on
