Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 132, reports as follows:
Bill No. 132, transmitted by Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, via Communication No. 466, dated
August 29, 1997, amends Ordinance 97-82, as amended, the Capital Budget ending
June 30, 1998, by adding the following project:
PARKS & RECREATION
Cooper Center's Covered Outdoor Multipurpose Court $350,000
(110-399-5390.97-115)
Funds for this project shall be provided from:
General Obligation Bonds and/or Other Sources $350,000
Transmitted with Bill No. 132 is the Project Data Sheet and schematic drawings for the
multipurpose court.
Councilmembers were impressed at the dedication of the Volcano Community to see this project
through to fruition. Members of the Volcano Community were present to show support for the
proposed facility.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 132 and
recommends it pass first reading.
