COUNTY OF HAWAII: ,<,$TATE OF HAWAII
RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF THIRTY-TWO ROYAL PALMS,
WHEREAS, Puna Geothermal Venture has donated thirty-two Royal Palms to the County
of Hawaii, Parks and Recreation Department, for parks in Puna; and
WHEREAS, the value of the donated palms is Three Thousand Two Hundred Dollars
($3200.00); and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the
Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL YED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAW AIl that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the County
of Hawaii, Department of Parks and Recreation, is authorized to accept the donation of thirty-two
Royal Palms from Puna Geothermal Venture.
BE IT FURTHER RESOL YED, that the Department of Parks and Recreation, upon the
receipt of the Royal Palms, is directed to send a letter of thanks to Barry Mizuno, Financial
Manager, Puna Geothermal Venture at P.O. Box 30, Pahoa, Hawaii 96778.
