Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 128, reports as follows:
Bill No. 128, transmitted by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, via Communication No. 448,
dated August 12, 1997, amends Ordinance 97-83, as amended, the Operating Budget ending
June 3Q 1998.
The amendment is as follows:

The Department of Parks and Recreation, in agreement with the Hawaii Department of Land and
Natural Resources, Division of Forestry and Wildlife, has received a $12,000 Urban Forestry
Grant from the State of Hawaii for the Kamakana Playground Tree Planting Program.
Enclosed with Bill No. 128 is a copy of the 1997 Kaulunani Urban Forestry Program Grant
Agreement.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 128 and
recommends it pass first reading.
