Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. ] 38, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 138, transmitted by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, via Communication
No. 429, dated August 4, 1997, increases the time element of aClerk-Typist 1l2T position to full
time.
Currently, the majority of clerical duties are done by the half time Clerk-Typist. With five
district supervisors and the summer fun program, it is difficult to maintain a regular output of
production. By increasing the time element to full time, the clerical work of the Recreation
Division should flow easier and faster.
There are sufficient funds in the Department of Parks and Recreation, Recreation Division's
Regular Salaries and Wages account to cover the cost of the additional time element.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 138 and
recommends its adoption.
