Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 122, reports as follows:
Bill No. 122, transmitted by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, via Communication No. 423,
dated July 29, 1997, amends Ordinance 97-83, as amended the Operating Budget ending
June 30, 1998.
The amendment is as follows:

Child Care Development
To:
010-111-51 11.34-115 Child Care Development General $60,000.00
In fiscal year 1996-97 the County of Hawaii received a $65,000 grant from Child Care and
Development Block Grant (CCDBG) to select a coordinator to develop an overall plan to address
the development of resources For young children ad their families by stimulating public and
private interest.
Bill No. 122 appropriates an additional $60,000 for FY 1997-98.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 122 and
recommends it pass first reading.
