RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY OF HAW All TO ENTER INTO
SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENTS FOR HA-98/99-2-A, HA-I1IA-98-3-N, ADM-4-97-8, AND
HA-98-1-N, WITH THE EXECUTIVE OFFICE ON AGING, OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR,
STATE OF HAWAII, PURSUANT TO HRS SECTION 46-8, WHEREBY THE STATE OF
HAWAII PROVIDES FUNDS TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAII OFFICE OF AGING TO
MAINTAIN PROGRAMS RELEVANT TO THE NEEDS OF THE ELDERLY.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 126-97, the County Council of the County of
Hawaii authorized and designated its Council Chairperson to sign Contracts HA-98/99-2-A and
HA-98"71-N in the name ofthe Council ofthe County of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, the Executive Office on Aging, Office of the Governor, State of Hawaii, has
informed the County of Hawaii Office of Aging that the funding level of Contract No. HA-98-1-
N has been increased from $701,761.00 to $725,812.00; and
WHEREAS, the increase in funding level will require the execution of a supplemental
agreement; and
WHEREAS, the current economic situation of the State of Hawaii makes changes in
funding levels for all grant contracts a likely possibility.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that the Council Chairperson is hereby authorized and designated to sign in the name
ofthe Council ofthe County of Hawaii supplemental agreements to Contracts HA-98/99-2-A,
HA-I1IA-98-3-N, ADM-4-97-8, and HA-98-1-N.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Clerk is hereby directed to forward
copies of this resolution to the Honorable Stephen K. Yamashiro, Mayor of the County of
Hawaii, the Executive Office on Aging, Office ofthe Governor, State of Hawaii, the County of
Hawaii Office of Aging, and to any other interested government or governmental agency.
