RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF BICYCLE EQUIPMENT
FROM THE ROTARY CLUB OF KONA.
WHEREAS, the Rotary Club of Kona, whose Coordinator is Tina
Clothier, has donated bicycle equipment (two backracks, two rack trunks,
two taillights, two sensors, two mini pumps, two water bottles with
cages, two halogen headlights, three vapor helmets, and three "Police"
decals) to the Hawaii Police Department; and
WHEREAS, the retail value of the bicycle equipment is two hundred
seventy-nine dollars and forty cents ($279.40); and
WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter
provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts or
donations of personal property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii
County Charter, the Hawaii Police Department is authorized to accept the
donation of bicycle equipment from the Rotary Club of Kona.
