SUBJECT: Executive Session for Selection of Legislative Auditor
Pursuant to Section 92-5(a)(2), Hawaii Revised Statutes, as amended, I would like to
request that the Council hold an executive meeting to consider the hire of an officer or
employee.
Interviews for the Legislative Auditor position were conducted on February 19, 2009;
however, an applicant to fill the position was not selected at that time. The purpose of
this executive session is to allow the Council to deliberate towards a decision and vote to
select an applicant for hire following executive session.
I humbly request that this process be placed on the March 2, 2009, Special Council
meeting agenda.
