Yamashiro, dated August 28, 1998, informing he has appointed the following to the Hawaii County Family Violence Advisory Commission: Mr. Lawrence Balberde, a life-time resident of Hawaii and, since 1980, has been employed with the Hawaii County Police Department. He will serve a term to end on December 4, 2000. (Note: This appointment does not require Council confirmation.) Comm. 4.42: TRANSFER OF FUNDS AUGUST 1 THROUGH AUGUST 19, 1998 From Controller Dixie Kaetsu, dated August 25, 1998, transmitting a Report of Transfers Authorized showing transfers made from August 1 through August 19, 1998, and copies of the approved transfer forms. This report lists the final transfers for the old fiscal year ended June 30, 1998. The projects are grouped by council district. Comm. 604.08: RESOLUTION PRESENTING A PLAN OF DISPOSITION (Res. 267-98) FOR THE FORMER HAMAKUA SUGAR COMPANY, INC. LANDS NOW UNDER COUNTY OWNERSHIP From Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, dated May 1, 1998, transmitting the above resolution. Believes that the implementation of the proposed disposition plan will assist agriculture, including the fledging timber industry in the North Hilo and Hamakua districts, and provide the County with lands which are being used or will be required for public purposes. Further, believes the plan will return said lands to the tax rolls and make said lands available for further agricultural development. Comm. 604.09: From Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, dated May 12, 1998, in reference to his letter of May 1, 1998, transmits a proposed plan for the disposition of the former Hamakua Sugar Company, Inc. lands now under County ownership, proposing, in addition to those properties listed on Exhibit "B" of the proposed plan, three land exchanges, as listed. Takahashi, dated August 19, 1998, transmitting the above resolution. This grant is to improve the quality of investigation into extra familial and intrafamilial sexual and physical abuse of children.
