Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 269-94, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 264-94, transmitted by former Councilmember S. Kalani Schulte, via
Communication No. 1239, dated August 5, 1994, encourages the State Department of
Transportation to revise Section 19-44-65, Title 19, of the Hawaii Administrative Rules, as
amended, to levy wharfage charges for cargo transshipped inter-island.
This measure was originally heard on August 23, 1994, and deferred pending further input from
the affected parties.
Communication No. 410, transmitted jointly with Resolution No. 264-94 by Committee Chair
Aazon Chung, dated July 22, 1997, requests this measure be filed for housekeeping purposes.
Your Committee on Finance recommends Resolution No. 269-94 be filed.
