No. 130 <br /> PLACE: Councilroom <br /> TIME: 10:45 A.M. <br /> Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 130, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 130 transmitted jointly with Bill No. 117 by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, <br /> dated July 17, 1997, amends the district distribution formula of the fuel tax expenditure plan as <br /> delineated in Resolution No. 128-93. <br /> The following formula will be effective July 1, 1996: <br /> District % Road Miles %Vehicle New District <br /> Weight Tax ARnortionment <br /> Puna 19.71 14.05 16.88 <br /> South Hilo 33.61 37.53 35.57 <br /> <br /> North Hilo 3.44 1.02 2.23 <br /> Hamakua 7.99 3.76 5.88 <br /> North Kohala 2.90 3.01 2.95 <br /> South Kohala 8.15 8.87 8.51 <br /> North Kona 13.80 20.76 17.28 <br /> South Kona 4.39 6.69 5.54 <br /> Ka'u 6.01 4.~1_ 5.l( <br /> Total 100.00 100.00 100.00 <br /> Resolution No. 397-88 adopted by the Hawaii County Council on March 15, 1988, established <br /> the first district apportionment formula to be based upon a percentage derived from each <br /> district's vehicle weight tax and road miles. <br /> Sequentially, Resolution No. 351-91, was adopted which requires a biennial update of the district <br /> distribution formula of the fuel tax expenditure plan. Therefore, this measure conforms to the <br /> provision set forth in said resolution. <br /> FC REPORT NO. 113 <br /> <br />
