No. SOBiII 16 <br />Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred <br />Communication No. 80, regarding Bill 16, reports as follows: <br />Bill 16, transmitted by Director of Public Works, Warren H.W. Lee, via Communication No. 80, dated <br />December 10, 2008 amends Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 1, Section 24-255, Schedule 3 <br />(25 mile per hour limit), paragraph (f) Kona, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 edition, as <br />amended), by adding the following, to be appropriately numbered and to read as follows: <br />" ~ Manawale`a Street, both sides " <br />There was no testimony from the public on this proposed bill. <br />Committee Chair Brenda J. Ford relinquished her seat to Council member Dominic Yagong. Vice Chair <br />Kelly Greenwell was absent and excused for this meeting. <br />Traffic Division Chief Ron Thiel appeared before your Committee. Mr. Thiel commented that <br />submitting this traffic code amendment proposing 25 mile per hour limit on both sides of Manawale`a <br />Street is necessary as part of the La`iopua Connector Road Project (Portions of Keanalehu Drive and <br />Manawale`a Street) and to be in place prior to the opening of this road. <br />PWIRC RPT NO. 9 <br />
