Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution 120, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 120, transmitted by Chief Engineer Donna Fay K. Kiyosaki, via Communication
No. 379, dated June 24, 1997, authorizes the acceptance of a donation from Certified Coatings.
Certified Coatings has graciously donated a Model 5337 Xerox copier, a Grimmer Schmidt 125
CFM air compressor with a 901b. breaker, and a Honda EM generator with a Hilte TE 75 rotary
hammer to the County of Hawaii Department of Public Works. The aforementioned machinery
is collectively valued at $30,000.
Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the council, on behalf of
the county, may accept gifrs of donations or personal property.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 120 and
recommends its adoption. Your Committee also recommends that a letter of appreciation be sent
to Robert Ikenbury, Project Manager, Certified Coatings at 84-687 Ala Mahiku Street, #118-A,
Waianae, Hawaii 96792.
