DATE: June 2, 2008 TIME: 8:30 a.m. PLACE: County Council Room Ben Franklin Bldg. 333 Kilauea Avenue, Second Floor Hilo, Hawaii The real property tax rates for the fiscal year July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2009, shall be fixed as follows (specifically, Affordable Rental Housing): Classes of Property Building Land (Per $1,000 Net Valuation) (Per $1,000 Net Valuation) Residential $7.10 $8.10 Affordable Rental Housing $5.55 $5.55 Apartment $8.10 $8.10 Hotel/Resort $9.00 $9.00 Commercial $9.00 $9.00 Industrial $9.00 $9.00 Agricultural and Native Forest $6.35 $8.35 Conservation $8.55 $8.55 Homeowner $5.55 $5.55 These rates would be fixed by the County Council upon its adoption of Resolution No. 658-08. All persons desiring to express their views on the above matter may do so orally at the meeting and must register with the County Clerk's staff. Those submitting written testimony at the meeting should bring seventeen copies for distribution. Testimony may also be submitted: (1) by mail to the County Clerk's Office, 25 Aupuni Street, Room No. 209, Hilo, Hawaii, 96720, (2) by facsimile to (808) 961-8912, or (3) by e-mail to counciltestimony@co.hawaii.hi.us. For testimony received via e-mail or fax, copies will be distributed at the hearing when transmitted in a timely manner. All oral and written testimony will be made a part of the public record. The meeting place is accessible for persons with disabilities.
