Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 93, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 93, transmitted by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, via Communication
No. 313, dated April 29, 1997, creates a Power Mower Operator For the Kona District.
Due to an addition of 13+ acres at the Kona Gym, the workload to upkeep the ballfield has
increased greatly. The additional acreage at the Kona Gym is a highly visible and well-used
area, necessitating maintenance of acceptable standazds. By creating a Power Mower Operator
position, assistance will be provided in maintaining all facilities in the North and South Kona
Districts.
There are sufficient funds in the Department of Pazks and Recreation, Parks Maintenance
Division's Regular Salaries and Wages account, to cover the cost of the additional position.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 93 and
recommends its adoption.
