Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 53-09, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 53-09, transmitted by Finance Director Nancy Crawford, via Communication No. 130,
dated January 30, 2009, authorizes the acceptance of a donation from the Daniel R. Sayre Memorial
Foundation of a new 2008 Toyota Tacoma Crew Cab truck valued at $28,856.02.
Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the County,
may accept gifts or donations of personal property.
A letter of appreciation will be sent to the Daniel R. Sayre Memorial Foundation, acknowledging this
generous donation.
There was no discussion on this matter.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 53-09, and
recommends its adoption.
