Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 133, reports as follows:
Communication No. 133, transmitted by Mayor William P. Kenoi, dated January 27, 2009,
requests the confirmation of Steven Hirakami to the Hawaii County Public Access, Open Space,
and Natural Resources Preservation Commission.
Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-4(b), Hawai`i County Charter, the members of the Hawaii
County Public Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation Commission shall be
appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Council.
As Mr. Hirakami was not present at the meeting, Your Committee requested that he appear
before the full Council at final confirmation.
Your Committee on Finance recommends the confirmation of Steven Hirakami to the County of
Hawaii Public Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation Commission.
