Report of Transfers Authorized showing transfers made from
June 1 through June 15, 1998, and copies of the approved transfer
forms.
Comm. 888: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A
(Res. 284-98) MONETARY CONTRIBUTION OF $1,000.00 FROM THE
HAWAII POLICE ATHLETIC FEDERATION
From Police Chief Wayne G. Carvalho, dated June 9, 1998,
transmitting the above resolution. The contribution will be designated
for use by the Department's Drug Abuse Resistance Education
(D.A.R.E.) program. D.A.R.E. is seeking to acquire a wireless,
handsfree microphone system to complement previously donated
sound system, portable overhead projector and video camcorder tripod
for use during parent seminars, youth conferences, summer camps and
other extra-curricular events.

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING OF JUNE 9, 1998
From Al Smith, Secretary-Treasurer, HSAC, dated June 29, 1998,
transmitting highlights of the Executive Committee meeting of June 9,
1998.
ACTION REQUESTED: On recommendation that Councilmembers
Ronald Kouchi (Kauai) and Dennis Nakamura (Maui) continue as
Hawaii's representatives on the NACo Board of Directors and that
Councilmember Rene Mansho (Honolulu) represent Hawaii on the
WIR Board of Directors.
