RESOLUTION NO. 72 O9
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING /APPROPRIATING AN APPI20PRIATION OUT
ANll FROM THE DESIGNATEll FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S).
WHEREAS, Malama O Puna, a 501 (e) 3 non profit organization is in need of funds for
its Spring Junior Lifeguard Program/Puna; and
WHEREAS, the Junior Lifeguard Program's purpose is to increase the self-confidence,
physical conditioning, and ocean awareness of program participants through their introduction to
ocean and beach safety, first aid and surf rescue techniques; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 5 will be appropriated to
the Hawaii Fire Department to be used towards Malama O Puna's Junior Lifeguard Program
Spring Session; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`[ that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to Fire Chief and the Director of Finance and that the Director of Finance is hereby
authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
