Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 6Q reports as follows:
Bill No. 60, transmitted jointly with Resolution No. 55 by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, via
Communication No. 198, dated March 4, 1997, amends Ordinance 96-72, as amended, the
Operating Budget ending June 30, 1997.
The amendment is as follows:

Misc. Equipment
This grant from the U.S. Department of Justice will enable the Police Department to purchase a
digital logging recorder and a playback recorder that will record a11911 calls and monitor radio
transmissions.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 60 and
recommends it pass first reading.
