CALL TO ORDER STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON ITEMS ON THE AGENDA UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Comm. 1514: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 5, ARTICLE 2, OF THE HAWAII COUNTY (Bill 385) CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO BUILDING ENERGY (2006-2008) EFFICIENCY STANDARDS (repeals Article 2 of Chapter 5, Hawaii County Code, and replaces those provisions relating to building energy efficiency standards with the 2006 International Energy Conservation Code, March 2007 Edition; and adds a new Article 3 to retain the indigenous architecture provision contained in Division 15 of Article 2), and From Councilmember Pete Hoffmann, dated October 9, 2008, transmitting the above bill. Postponed: October 21, 2008 Held over for two public hearings: January 6, 2009 Public Hearings: February 2, 2009 (Hilo) February 17, 2009 (Kona) (Note: There is a pending motion made by Mr. Hoffmann and duly seconded by Mr. Pilago to close file on Comm. 1514 and recommend passage of Bill 385 on first reading.)
