Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 163, reports as follows:
Communication No. 163, transmitted by Mayor William P. Kenoi, dated January 27, 2009,
requests the confirmations of Brian J. De Lima and Kenneth M. Rowe to the Hawaii County
Merit Appeals Board.
Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-4(b), Hawai`i County Charter, the members of the Hawaii
County Merit Appeals Board shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Council.
All members spoke in support of these appointments.
Chairperson Yagong informed the appointees that they did not need to return to the full Council
for first reading.
Your Committee on Finance recommends the confirmation of Brian J. De Lima and Kenneth M.
Rowe to the Hawaii County Merit Appeals Board.
