Transmitting Request to Discuss 2009 Hawaii County Council Calendar
Revisions
I would like to discuss the 2009 Hawaii County Council Calendar Kevisions for the Month of
March, June, and October about which wc; were notified on February 25, 2009. via an
interdepartmental communication from County Clerk, Ken Goodenow.
I am concerned about the cancellation of Kona Committee and Council meetings. "Rules of
Vrocedure and Organization of the Council of the County of Hawaii", Rule 2, item 1, 2egular
Meetings, which states in part, "..."the Council shall hold an equal number of Committee and
Council meetings in bast and West Hawaii, subject to meeting location availability in West
I-Iawai`i and adequate personnel, equipment, and support services to comply with statutory, legal
and processing deadlines."
I respectfully request that this communication be placed on the appropriate Committee agenda
for March 17, 2009.
