Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 100, reports as follows:
Communication No. 100, transmitted by Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, dated .Tanuary 14, ] 997,
requests for confirmation the reappointment of Harry Takahashi as Finance Director of the
County of Hawaii.
Mr. Takahashi has extensive experience in Hawaii County government and has served as Finance
Director for the past three and a half years.
Pursuant to Article V, Chapter 3, Section 5-3.2 of the Hawaii County Charter, the director of
finance shall be appointed by the mayor, confirmed by the council and may be removed by the
mayor.
Your Committee on Finance recommends confirmation of the reappointment of Harry Takahashi
as Finance Director of the County of Hawaii.
