Bill No. 34, transmitted by Finance Director Harry Takahashi, via Communication No. 90, dated
January 9, 1997, amends Ordinance 96-72, as amended, the Operating Budget ending
June 3Q 1997.
The amendment is as follows:

Sobriety Checkpoint Exp.
To:
010-201-5219.28-115 Sobriety Checkpoint General $20,000.00
Communication No. 90 states Funds were necessary to enhance the current DUI enforcement
program for the County of Hawaii.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 34 and
recommends it pass first reading.
