Dear Council Members,
We live on 220 Awa Street, two lots away from the proposed subdivision by Sonomura
Rentals. We are against the this particular subdivision due to numerous reasons:
1. Half an acre lots are too small for farming.
2. There is no buffer zone proposed between the Residential lots and the
Agriculture lots. Without a buffer zone, it will create problems. It will
subject the farmers to legal liabilities due to spraying, machine use, farm
odors and noise.
3. The streets in the area are inadequate to support this subdivision.
4. There are no acceleration or deceleration lanes on the highway.
We should keep agricultural lands available for the future of Hawaii and our children.
