RE: A Resolution Requesting a Ban on the Release of Bi logical Control Agents on
the Island ofHawai'i, Including Insects, Fungi, Bacteria, Viruses, or Other
Pathogens, for any Tree Species Related to the o'hia, Including all Species in the
Myrtle Family, such as the Strawberry Guava (Spidium Cattleianum).
Attached is a resolution requesting a ban on releasing Biological Control Agents on Hawai'i
Island, including insects, fungi, bacteria, viruses, or other pathogens, for any tree species related
to the o'hia, including all species in the Myrtle Family, such as the Strawberry Guava (Spidium
Cattleianum).
Please assign the attached resolution to the appropriate Council Committee and place on the
agenda for the April 7, 2009 Council Committees meeting in Hilo. Thank you.
