FC-28 Page 2 January 15, 1998 Comm. 656: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY OF HAWAII TO ENTER (Res. 210) INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7, FOR A SEATBELT ENFORCEMENT GRANT; AND (Res. 211): RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY OF HAWAII TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7 FOR A SOBRIETY CHECKPOINT GRANT From Finance Director Harry A. Takahashi, dated December 22, 1997, transmitting the above resolutions. The Seatbelt Enforcement grant is for overtime to increase and maintain the enforcement of the State seat belt law. The Sobriety Checkpoint grant is also for overtime to provide 57 DUI roadblocks. Funds have already been appropriated in the Operating Budget. Comm. 166.05: From Liana Coz, Legislative Assistant, dated January 2, 1998, transmitting, as requested, figures regarding Councilman Yagong's proposal to delete the monthly wastewater surcharges for units eaceedinq the maaimum water allowances.
