FC-28 Page 2 January 15, 1998 Comm. 656: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY OF HAWAII TO ENTER (Res. 210) INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7, FOR A SEATBELT ENFORCEMENT GRANT; AND (Res. 211): RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY OF HAWAII TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7 FOR A SOBRIETY CHECKPOINT GRANT From Finance Director Harry A. Takahashi, dated December 22, 1997, transmitting the above resolutions. The Seatbelt Enforcement grant is for overtime to increase and maintain the enforcement of the State seat belt law. The Sobriety Checkpoint grant is also for overtime to provide 57 DUI roadblocks. Funds have already been appropriated in the Operating Budget. Comm. 657: ORDINANCE BILL AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE HAWAII COUNTY (Bill 187) CODE 1983 (1995 EDITION), AS AMENDED, BY DELETING MONTHLY WASTEWATER USAGE CHARGES FOR UNITS EXCEEDING MAXIMUM WATER ALLOWANCES From Councilmember Dominic Yagong, dated December 26, 1997, transmitting the above bill. Comm. 166.05: From Liana Coz, Legislative Assistant, dated January 2, 1998, transmitting, as requested, figures regarding Councilman Yagong's proposal to delete the monthly wastewater surcharges for units eaceedinq the maaimum water allowances. States the number of units and current revenue figures are from the attached letter from the Department of Public Works (C-166.01). Comm. 660: ORDINANCE BILL AMENDING THE OPERATING BUDGET (Bill 188) APPROPRIATING $61,500 FOR PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT FOR THE SPEED LIMIT ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM; AND (Res. 213): RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY OF HAWAII TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, PURSUANT TO HRS 46-7, FOR A HAWAII SPEED ENFORCEMENT r_v n mm From Finance Director Harry A.
