Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 16, reports as
follows:
Resolution No. 16, transmitted by Sister-City Protocol Officer Rudy Legaspi, via
Communication No. 38, dated December 16, 1996, requests the establishment of a sister-
city relationship between the County of Hawaii and Ikaho-Machi, Japan.
Upon approval of Resolution No. 16, both agreements (English and Japanese) will be
finalized and prepazed for a formal signing agreement ceremony at the next appropriate
occasion.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution
No. 16 and recommends its adoption.
