Mar 13 2009 3:57 PM RE: Resolution Supporting the Passage of House Bill 1037, 2009 Hawaii State Legislature, Relating to Limiting the Liability of Government Entities to the Percentage Share of the Damages Actually Caused by Them Transmitted for the Council's consideration is a resolution supporting the passage of House Bill 1037, 2009 Hawaii State Legislature, relating to limiting the liability of government entities to the percentage share of the damages actually caused by them. Given the desire to have the Judiciary and Government Operations Committee of the Hawaii State Legislature schedule this bill for hearing, we respectfully request this resolution be waived from committee for hearing before the full Council. In reviewing this matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and the matter placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request is denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations for placement on its future agenda.
