RESOLUTION NO. 93 09
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, Hawaii Prepazatory Academy's (HPA) Project Grad Night is adrug- and
alcohol-free event where graduating seniors can safely celebrate with their senior class
classmates in a positive and healthy environment; and
WHEREAS, in addition to providing meals and some gifts, HPA's Project Grad Night
2009 also provides fun and exciting activities that will include food and entertainment such as a
magician and a hypnotist; and
WHEREAS, each year, Project Grad Night is made possible thanks to a variety of
volunteer fundraising events as well as from generous donations from HPA's Ohana Association,
families, community members and businesses, and Faculty; and
WHEREAS, HPA's Pazent Association, Inc., a 501(c)(3), will act as fiscal sponsors for
the HPA Project Grad Night 2009; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9 will be appropriated to
the Department of Liquor Control to be used towards HPA's Project Grad Night 2009, which is
scheduled for Friday, May 22, 2009; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $1,000
CREDITED TO:
010.251.5251.39 Department of Liquor Control $1,000

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Liquor Control and the Director of Finance and that the Director of
Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this
resolution.
