Comm. 734:HAWAII STATE ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES (HSAC) PROPOSED ANNUAL BUDGET FOR FY 1998-1999 From HSAC Secretary-Treasurer Al Smith, dated February 23, 1998, transmitting for consideration by the Council HSAC's Proposed Annual Budget for FY 1998-1999. FC-32 Page 2 March 17, 1998 Comm. 746:RESOLUTION TO OPEN A RESCUE EQUIPMENT ACCOUNT NUMBER FOR (Res. 238)THE STATE-FUNDED WEST HAWAII LIFEGUARD SERVICES PROGRAM From Finance Director Harry A. Takahashi, dated February 25, 1998 transmitting the above resolution. Approval for this transfer of funds to purchase rescue equipment has been received from the Department of Land and Natural Resources. Comm. 747: ORDINANCE BILL TO AMEND THE CAPITAL BUDGET BY ADDING THE (Bill 204) WAIAKEA HOUSELOT RESURFACING PROJECT AS AN ENGINEERING DIVISION PROJECT WITHIN THE SOUTH HILO FUEL TAX DISTRICT From Finance Director Harry A. Takahashi, dated March 5, 1998, transmitting the above bill. The affected streets include Kalanikoa, Laukapu, Hinano, Mililani, Nahale Way, Lanikaula, Hualani, Leilani, Manono and Kawili. Comm. 748:ORDINANCE BILL TO AMEND THE GENERAL FUND FUND BALANCE TO (Bill 205)ADD $100 TO THE AQUATICS ELECTRICITY ACCOUNT From Finance Director Harry A. Takahashi, dated March 5, 1998, transmitting the above bill. This would balance the revenue and expenditure accounts in Ordinance No. 98-16. The appropriation amount will be from $56,500 to $56,600. Comm. 749:ORDINANCE BILL TO APPROPRIATE $200,000 FROM THE VEHICLE (Bill 206)DISPOSAL FUND FUND BALANCE FOR THE CLEANUP OF TIRES AND SCRAP METAL FROM ABANDONED VEHICLES From Finance Director Harry A. Takahashi, dated March 5, 1998, transmitting the above bill. The accumulation of tires at both the East and West Hawaii collection sites poses a hazard, and the additional fund will allow for quicker removal. FC-32 Page 3 March 17, 1998 UNFINISHED BUSINESS Comm. 729: RESOLUTION REQUESTING $2,000 TO PROVIDE BUS (Res. 234) TRANSPORTATION FOR SENIOR CITIZENS TO ATTEND THE SENIOR HEALTH FAIR ON JUNE 1, 1998 AT THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII-HILO CAMPUS CENTER From Council Chair James Arakaki, dated February 20, 1998, transmitting the above resolution. Comm. 729.01: From Finance Director Harry Takahashi, dated March 5, 1998, confirming their authorization of the transfer of funds from the Clerk Council SVC OCE Miscellaneous Contract Services Account No. 010-101-5101.02-115 to the Parks and Recreation Department, Elderly Activities Division, OCE Miscellaneous Contract Services Account No. 010-500-5519.72-115 for the purpose of providing bus transportation for senior citizens to attend the Senior Health Fair.
