RESOLUTION NO. x.00 09
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO
A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the Department of Human Resources -Personnel and Organizational
Development Division provides training, facilitation, and consulting support to all departments'
of the County in order to continually improve both personnel and organizational effectiveness;
and
WHEREAS, the Personnel and Organizational Development Division will be holding
the 2009 Office Support Staff Conference "Thriving in Tough Times" at the Nani Mau Gardens
on Thursday, May 14, 2009; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of this annual conference is to recognize the County's office
support staff for their hard work and dedication by giving them a "special" day to get together
and share ideas while attending training sessions that would enhance their work performance;
and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 2 will be appropriated to
the Department of Human Resources to be used towards the 2009 Office Support Staff
Conference; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

OUT AND FROM:
010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $1,000
CREDITED TO:
010.151.5151.11 Department of Human Resources $1,000
Training Expenses

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Human Resources and Director of Finance and that the Director of
Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
