RESOLUTION NO. 107 09
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the Department of Human Services -Personnel and Organization
I Development Division provides training, facilitation, and consulting support to all departments
of the County in order to continually improve both personnel and organizational effectiveness
and maximize the potential of the County's human capital; and
WHEREAS, the Personnel and Organization Development Division will hold its 2009
County Office Support Staff Conference "Thriving in Tough Times," at the Nani Mau Gardens,
on Thursday, May 14, 2009; and
' WHEREAS, the conference is a highly interactive workshop designed to explore what it
takes to thrive with challenges of today by combining individual and group activities to assist
'~ staff in developing a plan that can be applied in their lives, and to leave staff members energized
with the necessary tools needed to thrive at work and at home; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to
the Department of Human Resources to be used to assist in funding the 2009 County Office
Support Staff Conference; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Human Resources and the Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
