Subject: Resolution Directing the Coun y o nter into Negotiations for the Immediate
Purchase of Open Space Property Currently for Sale and Whose Owners are
Willing to Sell to the County Using the 2% Open Space Preservation Fund
Attached for your consideration is a resolution that directs the Hawaii County Finance Director
to immediately begin negotiations to purchase Pa`o`o, Puapua`a and Kaiholena parcels
respectively as these properties have been nominated on the purchase priority lists of the Hawaii
County Public Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation Commission in the
2006, 2007 or 2008 reports.
