RE: Proposed Amendments to Resolution No. 118-09
The purpose of this memorandum is to request that the County Council amend Resolution No.
118-09 due to the result of typographic errors as follows:
1) Amends the first WHEREAS, clause to read:
"WHEREAS, the Basic Image Inc. is a [nen pre€i ] nonprofit organization whose
mission is to educate youths, their families, community leaders and visitors about
protecting and maintaining Hawai`i's coastal region with aloha by working together as
one; and"
2) Amends the second WHEREAS, clause to read:
"WHEREAS, the Basic Image, Inc. has entered into partnership with the Department of
Parks and Recreation to be the caretakers of Hakalau Bay with volunteers from the
community; develop mentoring programs to provide Hawaiian cultural education; and
organize and host the Hakalau [P-aka] Paka 2nd Annual Aloha [Aina] `Aina Awareness
Day; and

3) Amends the third WHEREAS, clause to read:
"WHEREAS, Contingency Relief Funds from Council District I will be appropriated to
the Department of Parks and Recreation for the Hakalau [Paka] Paka 2nd Annual Aloha
[A-ina] `Aina Awareness Day to be held at Hakalau Bay; now, therefore,"
4) In the "BE IT RESOLVED..." clause to read as follows:
"BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`l, that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set for the below:
