Subject: DO NOT RAID THE 2% FUND
Aloha Honorable Council Members,
The voters approved the 2% Fund. Yourjob is to represent us. Please show your respect for us by using that
money for its intended purpose.
If you think that the voters have changed their minds about the 2% Fund now that times are hard, you must ask
us if this is the case before you take action.
Please find another way to balance the budget. Think about the suggestions that Council Member Yagong has
made.
If you really believe in something, you don't give up on it in the face of adversity. Otherwise, you don't
really value it very much, do you?
