Re: Testimony in support of Resolution to Oppose H.B. 1226
It is the right of the people and farmers of there prospective and sustainable county, to
choose if a GMO organism can or cannot be cultivated. The detriment of GMO cross
contamination and patents of foods and natural resources is a serious issue and has
already damage the lives of farmers, people, and sustainable communities through out our
Planet.
I urge you to oppose - H.B. 1226.
For the sake of yours and our own legacy and responsibilities with in our work toward a
sustainable State, County, Community, Family, Individual. How dare this Bill 1226 take
away the rights of wise choice making with in the intimate connection of local knowledge
efficiency and of the local communities viability.
Richard E. Benton
Mahalo Nancy Redfeather and Pete Hoffman for bringing up this critical issue
