To the Hawaii County Council:
It became abundantly clear that Genetically Modified (GM) crops are different from normal
crops when Monarch (Kamehameha) butterflies were killed by eating pollen from GM corn.
Most of the other significant research has been suppressed with the aid of lots of money
from companies such as Monsanto; for example, laboratory mice dying from eating GM
potatoes.
It is vital for the health of our children, our islands, and ourselves that we protect
from GM crops.
Please do everything in your power to disallow anything GM, including stating your
opposition to HB 1226, and asking Mr. Calvin Say to be pone.
