Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 69-09, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 69-09, transmitted by Finance Director Nancy Crawford, via Communication No. 196,
dated March 2, 2009, authorizing the creation of a Driver License Examiner I (2/5T) position for the
Department of Finance.
Pursuent to Article V, Section 5-1.3(c) of the Hawaii County Charter the Mayor has the power to create
positions "for which appropriations have been made by the council"
There was no discussion on this matter.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 69-09, and
recommends its adoption.
