RESOLUTION NO. 125 09
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TD
A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S).
WHEREAS, Hilo High School's Project Graduation provides a safe, secure, and
supervised celebration alternative to the traditional graduation parties that involve underage
drinking, illegal substance use, and unsupervised late-night partying that normally results in
drinking and driving; and
WHEREAS, this drug-, alcohol-, and tobacco-free event provides the parents and
families of the graduates with peace of mind that their child is in a safe and wholesome
environment afrer graduation; and
WHEREAS, over 300 graduates are expected to participate in this year's Project
Graduation, which will be held at the Hilo Yacht Club on June 5-6, 2009; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to
the Department of Liquor Control to be used towards Hilo High School's Project Graduation;
now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
the following amount is hereby transferred/zppropriated as set forth below:

OUT AND FROM:
010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $1,000
CREDITED TO:
010.251.5251.39 Department of Liquor Control $1,000
Public Programs, Misc. Contract Services

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Liquor Control and the Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms
of this resolution.
